Hi

Just been looking at buying Halflife 2 after playing it on a friends
machine. The prices in the shops and online seem to vary from £18 to
£35 for it. Only difference seems to be is that the cheaper ones come
on 5 CDs rather than 1 DVD.

Don't really mind installing from 5 CD's - its a one off after all -
plus I bet theres a way to make a DVD from the CDs any how if I looked
on google.

Is there actually any difference? Does the CD one also come with
Counter strike Source and Deathmatch?

Thanks.

It certainly does. The CD format is just for the few that still have no DVD
reader on their machines..... I have heard and read of a lot of complaints
in relation to installing from CD though in the HL forums... Not nearly as
many complaints for the DVD version....

Thanks for confirming it, just ordered it online for £17.99. Did go
to the shops today and the cheapest was £29.99 everywhere I tried.
