Question CD player doesn't work anymore ?

I have an ancient CD player from like 15 years ago. Its from some company called "Universal".
Its been under heavy usage for 10 years.

It was working till last month, until today when I went to turn it on, it doesn't turn on anymore. The lights don't work, there is no display.
I opened it up. It was full of dust inside.

Can dust really damage the old components? I didn't see a cut wire or any suspicious connection. There was no corrosion of any kind. I checked the components by a multimeter and they seem fine.

Cd players life span are around 5-10 years. Retire the old dinosaur and get a new one.

Ditto -- 10 years heavy usage for a CD player is good going so wouldn't bother with the hassle of trying to fix it.
