Ok I have never used a burner so hoping someone can tell me the difference between CD-R disk and a CD-RW disk and how they are used.

Thanks,

CD-R = CD recordable .. once written to it is permanent and cannot be changed or erased .. used to archive material etc and make copies of software etc ... CD-RW CD re-writable .. can be erased and reused up to 1000 times .. used for HDD backups and other data that may change at times or simply a convienient way to move data from one computer another

With both types of discs, you can keep sessions "open", so that you can add more data at will up to the storage limit.
