I've figured out how to install the module. I need your help to get over this hurdle.

I tried installing Lenovo driver for this module on my ASUS.

I've read a lot about this. I've read about bios.

I need help with this one.

You are going to have to be more clear about what card you are trying to put in the laptop. cdc nmc is a very generic thing pretty much discussing how any network card would attach.

In general any wifi card will work in a/e slot with the exception of the ones that need the CNVIO feature on intel chips.

It's in the title. L860 GL 16 4g lte module

I guess I though that might be your laptop model.

Are you sure it actually has a a/e interface. That is common for wifi cards.

All the photos I can find on that l860 part show a "B" type of key.

In addition this is a mobile broadband device. Is your laptop designed to accept these. Seem this card wants 4 antenna and you would need antenna in the laptop designed for LTE since they are different than wifi.

It fits with two adapters which one provides a sim and the other converts to a/e. The module imei is registered and the SIM card is activated.

The only thing left is to get the drivers so that the computer can utilize hardware. In device manager, the CDC NCM devices are listed.

So that is a strange company where I can find no way to get the drivers directly from the manufacture. Also seems the FCC is going to try to ban their products like huawei etc because of fear of backdoor code in the devices.

You would think drivers from another vendor would work unless that vendor some how blocks them. The m.2 slots are not just a physical slot and most the converter things do not have electronics on them. Then again most things run pcie or usb and both slot type support those. B slot stuff is normally see on stuff like SSD that run sata and sata does not run a A/E slots.

Seems I am as stumped at you on this one. If this module came from a lenovo device could be they somehow rig it so it only works on lenovo.
