CDROM Card question

What the deal is,I have a Gigabyte M/B-f2a68h Motherboard, I was trying to back up my hard drive win 7- of which takes several dvds to do so,my dvdrw player it stoped burning dvd tried other dvdrw players and nothing works,even diff ports..boots up fine on port1 with the boot drive..Is there a PCI Card that i can instal to get my dvdrw to work..so i can burn movies thats what i do mostly..I would apprciate the Insight on this delima

DVD drives don't last for me, don't know why.

A USB-DVD as mentioned or just get another HD for backup, they are dirty cheap per gigabyte if u do the math, AND no waiting, AND no mis-burn.

External hard drives make more sense for storage & backup - - get at least two so you can have multiple backups (you can never have too many backups).
