CE 7.55

No more gambling for runes. Haven't seen a rune in the gambling screen
since I upgraded. Good thing I muled all those high level runes away
that I gambled for prior to 7.55

Ooh, not sure if I like that. Do you still get them sometimes from the
eggs?
ps. I added 'mod' to the subject line to help avoid confusion with Corpse
Explosion for any new to this group that may not know what we are talking
about otherwise.

I say screw 7.55 I like my high level runewords... where else will I ever
have a chance to use them?

I'm more and more convinced that I should stick with my 7.50. If I were
to upgrade, would I lose whatever I have saved in my stash? I have
pages and pages of runes of all levels.

As I understand it, you only lose your doll stash. You must get rid of
it before you upgrade or your character will become unusable. I forgot
to get rid of mine when I upgraded to 7.51 and I lost 2 characters with
lots of stuff.
I have however lost stuff in my stash, as I stated in another thread,
I was using the dreaded maphack then. Since I stopped using it I have
lost stuff only when I suffered a power outage while the game was
running. I guess a hard shutdown like that was kinda hard on the game.

The runes are still OK is 7.55, and you get them (and all the other
stuff) from Eggs.

Re-install 7.50, re-load those characters, drop the doll stash, save &
exit.

Then re-install 7.55 and you're OK!

No maphacks here. I'm still struggling through Act I NM. Cripes, what
a time I'm having. I'm still considering the upgrade. Not sure tho.
We'll see.

Everything carries over but the doll stash.

Uhhh... no.

I "express" a certain "air" in owning and managing these buns, but you
DON'T WANT TO KNOW.

Are you sure that the doll stash doesn't carry over in 7.55? I've been
running with my 7.51 doll stashes without any trouble at all.
