I'm looking at upgrading my celeron 300a@450/BH6 combo, and am curious if anyone has had success with any 667 chips at the Ghz level? I have read on numerous posts that the 566-633 chips will easily make it to their 100mhz FSB of 850-950mhz. My BH6 is rev. 1.0 so I'm looking at an OC that won't mess up my PCI bus. If there have been any stability issues at the Ghz speed it'd be great to hear of any input.

Thanks. =)

I have not tried that specific combination, but I can tell you this; the newest Celerons use Coppermine cores. I have been unable to get an overclocked coppermine above 980MHZ stabley without extreme cooling. I have heard that a few lucky people have chanced upon better processors though.

I have heard of it, but it cannot be guaranteed

The Celeron2 @ 566 posts and has no problems at the 100mhz
FSB to 850mhz and passes all the rigerous tests.

All the Celerons above that due to there higher mutiplyers
cant handle 100mhz. They are not stable at the higher FSBs.

I will try to find the atricle where I read this.
566 is the onlyone really stable then they had to buy the chips retail because allmost all oem chips failed.
oem chips are held to lower quality standards.
Hope that helps.

600cel cCO running at 1010mhz w/1.71volts
I installed a new 600cel cCO W/GOLDEN ORB and it went to
1010 at 1.71volts and running pretty stable to me.
