I know these processors are older, I have a Intel DH61CR mobo with Celeron 530 in it. I am using it as POS and my inventory is huge. Its slow as a sloth. I see the DH61CR will support the i 3770k.
Would I have to re install windows and all the software. I need an upgrade, whether it is this or a new computer. My POS does all the social media, MS office, dropbox etc.

Should I try the i3770k, or just better to go with a upgrade computer to do the internet stuff and keep my POS on the celeron. Looking for opinions. I want to be as inexpensive as possible.

Everything is turned to basic mode as thats the only way it sort of survives. It has 8 GB of DDR3 ram

TIA

If the board is listed as supporting the i7-3770, use it. But I'd update the BIOS to the latest first just to be safe. And no, you won't have to re-install the OS.
