the G2020?

Putting together the cheapest game/office machine ..

the G1610 is about $50 but has good reviews for a stellar performer perbuck.

My question is simple, the G1610 or should I go a few bucks more get G2020?

Also, I want a FULL SIZE BUDGET mainboard (no micro) under $90.

Can anyone help me pair up a killer combo here??!!

Solution
The pentiums were removed from the best gaming CPU's for the money because games are starting to take advantage of more than 1 or two cores. A 750k is the bare minimum recommended gaming CPU now. 760k is a better CPU and only $5 more.
Do you have a discrete GPU for this, or are you planning on getting a dedicated card? If you have or are getting a dedicated card, I would step up to an Athlon II 760k as a bare minimum. If you plan on using integrated graphics, I would start looking at the AMD APU's.

Yes, not sure which card yet. ok i could do the athlon why do you suggest upgrade? whats so wrong with G1610 or G2020?

Ok, thanks. It comes with a stock cooler right? Can ypu pair me up with a good full size inexpensive mainboard?

I get scared i go to pcpartpicker punch in my athlon cpu, then when looking for a mainboard with at least 2 PCI-e slots (3 better yet) i see all these reviewers with "issues" with every board. that scares me as a novice builder..i freeze up and can't choose! 🙁
