Hello,

I see that Toms has a category about cell phones but couldn't find it in the categories for forums so sorry if this post is in the wrong spot.

Looking for recommendations for a decent cell phone with a good camera on it. In Canada with Rogers... currently I have a Galaxy S2 and my wife has a Note 3 and when we are using them to take pictures of our one year old son (who rarely sits still for a photo) we find on both cameras they always turn out really blurry if he moves a bit while the photo is being taken.

Any suggestions for a decent phone with a good camera that I'm not going to pay a ton for on contract (ie right now the Note 4 is $300 on a 2 year contact... was hoping not to pay that much on contract.)

I was considering the Lumia 1020 which is getting great reviews for its camera, but I'm a little concerned about the rest of the hardware as the phone is over a year old, so not sure how well it would hold up on a 2 year contract... I wish the Lumia 930 or Icon was available here but no such luck, Nokia / Microsoft don't seem to have much love for the Canadian market.

Was looking for a MS or Android phone, not a fan of Apple. Would welcome any suggestions (or pointers to a community page relating to cell phones, I use MobileSyrup.com for news but they have no forum section.

Thanks!

The nokia 1020 has perfectly capable hardware.
It will keep up with whatever task you are doing.

The 1020 is your best bet for camera quality. I have the nokia 925, and it takes marvelous pictures (Nothing compared to the 1020, but it blows phones like samsung/crapple out of the water).

Nokia 1020, 925, and 920 are your best non-phablet bets at the moment for camera quality.
All three of those are still very snappy. You will not be dissapointed with their performance.
My 925 handles 8.1 with ease, and I often run teamviewer to manage my desktop at home while I'm away from the house (Very demanding).
I don't game much on it, but my work requires me to constantly use the internet browser and the bing button. The battery life on...

I don't game much on it, but my work requires me to constantly use the internet browser and the bing button. The battery life on these devices is NO JOKE. My co-workers are constantly plugging in their 6's and s5's through out the day, and most of the time I've still got 20% when I get home at night.
