Cell phone wifi

My laptop's wifi doesn't work well, my phone's wifi is much better. Is there away to connect the phones wifi with my laptop? I'm not trying to tether through my phone's service or data plan i'm simply trying to use the wifi

I've never seen any phone that was capable of being configured as a wifi hotspot (and that's what it would need to do, some can, some can't) that DIDN'T use that feature to share the phone's cellular connection. But what I think you’re looking for is a way to use the phone as a wireless repeater, so that you’re sort of "bounced" off the phone and back over to the wireless router. Assuming I’ve got the picture right, I doubt it's possible. It’s certainly nothing I’ve ever seen before. It doesn’t even make much sense from the provider’s perspective. They couldn't care less if you had such a feature. If anything, they WANT you to use the cellular network, as much as possible!
