Hello All,
The Phone is a Galaxy S4 i9500.
A week ago while listening to music on my headphones (from my phone) the music started to get disoriented and fill in with a lot of static. At first I suspected my headphones had gone bad after 3 years of use, but when I went home and tested the phone and the headphones, the headphones were fine (I plugged them into two pc's). But after trying another pair of headphones and earbuds (on the phone), the static remained. I found this strange since when I play sound (without the headphones attached) everything was crisp and clear. I did some research and assumed it to be a headphone jack failure. A week later a replacement part arrived and I replaced the headphone jack on the phone myself, However the static remained. After some more testing, it seems like whenever the phone receives a call, there is also the same situation with static. (Everything they say come out in static and I can hardly make it out). I should also mention that for the headphones, if the sound is below 50%, there's no sound, and from 50% to 90%, there's only static, but at 100%, you can mostly hear the music but with bits of static.

Edit: Also with replacing the headphone jack, I've attempted to reset to factory settings to no avail.

I am wondering if anyone has any input into this strange occurrence and a means to fix it without paying for an entire phone replacement.

Thanks for the quick reply. This S4 is only about a year old though so I don't know if it is battery failure. I will attempt to find a battery to test this.
