Looking for an out of box Personal Storage Device for Family
1. Wireless back-up of pics, video, music files for all mobile devices (ipads/iphones)
2. Automatic back-up of PC
3. Automatically backs up itself
4. If need to upgrade or replace unit, can plug in USB to export all data to external hard drive
Purchased WD My Cloud Home ($140), seems to do (1) well, but cannot find a way to easily do 2 – 4, at least without manual steps.
Seems like basic needs, am I missing something? Any suggestions on how to improve or replace? I was hoping to stay under $300.

For #3 where do you want the central storage to backup to? Cloud? USB? Another similar device?
I don't have a strong preference, but would be great if it was all in same unit.

For #4, many commercial NAS units, you can just move disks to a new enclosure.
When you say "just move disks" do you mean switch out or add new hard drives? I'm a weekend warrior with this stuff, sorry I should know this already.

What is your budget and storage space requirements?
mostly a bunch of family pics and videos, was thinking 3-4TB, maybe more to future proof. Budget was hoping $300, but can increase if that's not realistic for someone who is not fluent in tech.
