Certain games make my mouse buttons stop working?

Hi

I have this really weird problem and I can't really find anyone else with a similar issue. Whenever I start up The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth my mouse buttons stop working. I can still scroll around, stuff under my cursor gets highlighted, but clicking any button doesn't do anything. I've only been able to consistently replicate it with Isaac, it happens in like 90-95% of times as soon as the game window appears. It'll happen with other games seemingly randomly, and extremely rare.

If I unplug the mouse and then plug it back in, the buttons work again.

I've tried looking the issue up, but I haven't found anything at all.

My mouse is a Func MS-3 v.2, running on Windows 7. I'm guessing this is a problem with my mouse.

Solution

While I can't provide a solution to this problem, Rebirth is controllable completely without a mouse. I have 300 hours and have never even touched the mouse when playing, so if the problem ONLY occurs with Isaac, then I would say ignore it, as annoying as it is. If it pops up in a game where you actually need the mouse, then there is definitely a larger problem.

That's not the issue, the issue is that having to reach behind the desk every single time becomes annoying after a while. Sure I don't need a mouse to play Isaac, but I'm gonna need a mouse to do other stuff on my PC.

When was your last drivers update? Also is your chord scratched/broken at all?

You mean video drivers? They're up to date. The mouse chord is intact, save for this near-constant problem when starting up Isaac (and the odd time it happens with a random game), it hasn't given me any other issues.

When you start Isaac you are not able to use your mouse.. What othe games is this occuring with?

None as consistently as Isaac. It happens like once in 1000 cases with a random game. Isaac is the only one that breaks my mouse 9/10 times.

Try other USB ports, and if all else fails you might have to accept the fact that your' stubborn mouse wins. I was reading a bit and there were threads about people having there controllers disconnected randomly in-game. The solution was taping the chord into a position to cause it not to happen.

Inform me if you find a solution, but it sounds like either the manufacturer mest up or you damaged it.
