Hello,
My computer from like a month started getting this weird problem that certain games will run like 2 mins and then screen goes black screen and fans go loud, and on rust i was messing arround with the graphics and when i bumped them almost to best quality same problem.
Temps on cpu and gpu seem fine under 70ºC.

Specs:
Motherboard : Msi b350 gaming plus
CPU: Ryzen 1200
Gpu: Amd RX 580 8gb
Mem: Crucial Ballistix sport LT Red 16gb (2x8) 2400 mhz
PSU : cooler master masterwatt lite 600w
One ssd 128gb and 1tb hardrive

I already messed around with updating everything , cleaning computer, cheking possible OC and nothing. I saw a post that one guy replaced the thermal paste on the gpu and the problem went away, should i try? My GPu is off warranty anyways.

Solution
Black screen, fans 100% seems like temperature problem. try undervolting using software like MSI afterburner
Problem Solved, bought thermal paste , replaced old one with new and no problems. Stable clocks and no black screen. My GPU used to draw like 120 w and i had clock speed fluctuating and now its drawing 180w and locked speed.
how hot is your GPU getting while gaming? 70°C is not high and reapplying thermal paste wouldn´t help.

Did you update the BIOS of your motherboard?

to have a look what the problem could be:
run userbenchmark.com and post the http link of your result, e.g. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730

Reset the BIOS by jumper clrCMOS or JBAT or similar (eventually you will have to set the bios priority correctly after that)

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...em-files/bc609315-da1f-4775-812c-695b60477a93

clean boot
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows

check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

run the RAM @2133MHz to check if it happens then too

check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool

use ddu uninstaller and reinstall the latest graphics driver

likely it's an AMD glitch , update your everything BIOS and firmwares if it does not work it's your AMD
My Bios is latest version, tho being the latest version(beta) maybe its related to that. Should i install the previous versino to that one and see if it work? Firmware wise everything is updated

i'm pretty sure it's an AMD thing , simply would not happen with intel . nowadays. But i have no idea if it's your beta bios or not . my AMD too would sometimes get hung up in games with a black screen and fans spinning fast.

Some games run just fine but others dont run or if i bump up the graphics it just blackscreens. Probably its AMD glitches but i will try if the BIOS beta version is causing the black screen. I really dont think its hardware problems. I Run several benchmarks and stability and temps seem just fine.

Did you reset the BIOS and tried without overclocking the RAM and CPU?
I flashed the bios to a non Beta version, game ran a little more but still baclk screen anyway, then i clear cmos and problem still happens. I forgot to metion that gpu clock is fluctuating a lot, its suposed to hit 1380mhz but even in 99% usage on the gpu i dips as below as 900mhz so im thiking that the temp readins are not correct or i have bad thermal application on the gpu, i will repaste and then ill come here to tell if that was the problem
