I have a Gaming + Streaming and Video editing rig, I want to know which of these two can make a difference as far as efficiency:

RMx Series™ RM1000x — 1000 Watt 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX PSU
(vs )
RMx Series™ RM1000x — 1000 Watt 80 PLUS® Gold Certified Fully Modular PSU

For what I can tell the only difference is the certification, here are my specs:

  • Intel i7 12700K
  • Asus Z690 Prime
  • GSkill 32 GB 3200
  • Aorus RTX 3090 Extreme Waterforce WB
  • M.2 Samsung 1 TB 970 x2
  • Seagate Barracuda 2 TB Hybrid HD
  • Corsair Hydro Water Cooling system, XD pump, Fans and radiators

Which one would you recommend?

A PSU is listed as bronze, silver, gold or platinum is certified. The fact that some retailers is putting the word "Certified" in the description is wordsmithing to make it stand out. Your comparing the same model.

IT's worded different one is a 2021 model the other is probably 2018. Not a clue if anything actually changed inside with the parts used or not but they should both be so close in efficiency nothing you would notice.

Examples.

Because the retailer left out the word "Certified"?

Also, 80 PLUS Gold is just efficiency. It's not like it's a certification like UL, TÜV, BSMI, etc.

Both description titles came from the Corsair website, for some reason they make it look different, they do have about $30 USD difference in price, the one that it has "Certified" in its title costs more, depending on the store you go $25-$30 USD, so I wonder when it comes to Gaming, Streaming and Video editing, can it make any difference at all?

I honestly don't think so, but I just want to be sure
