Question Certified Sales Person

Has anyone ever heard of or maybe passed NASP training?

Here's the link for this program...
of course any real knowledge acquired in the field is always beneficial when working with customers for sales.

but if they are just selling some type of certification it is more than likely not worth the money.
similar to the thousands of unaccredited online "colleges" selling a degree that ends up just being a piece of paper you bought that holds no significance in real life.

Don't waste your money. You either a sales person or you are not. People who try to become a good sales person, but are not, will never be a good one, even with training and certifications. Just my two cents......and I am in sales for over 20 years. In my experience, the most annoying sales people are the ones with a lot training.....(think Stan S. Stanman from Monkey Island).

Just be natural, follow-up on your leads, don't be too pushy, but don't forget to ask for the sale eventually.... ;-)

Now I need to go watch Glengarry, Glen Ross again

“ put that coffee down! Coffee‘s for closers”

I agree with the sentiment above that kind of goes something like this. Salesman are born, not made.

you either have the panache to do it or you don’t and there is no learning it. If you do possess the skill, then certainly do what you can to hone your skills but again you don’t need gimmicks to do this as explained above.

remember, coffee is for closers
