CF 5770, performance problems

I installed two sapphire 5570's in crossfire with 6gb of ram and i7 920, 900w PSU. I decided on crossfire after reading numerous benchmarks etc. Everything seems to run great except that I get video lag/ jumpyness is just about every game. In teamfortress 2/ LFD2 it says I have 150-300 fps, which is great but i have terrible jumps, similar to terrible lag. I have messed with a few settings in CCC and nothing seems to help. I have also changed just about every setting in TF and I still get it. I have not tried single card but disabling crossfire seems to fix the problem.

I run dual monitors, a 24" dell and a 19" acer, but both are plugged into the same card. I have a friend running a similar setup and he has no problems. Any suggestions?

Drivers could very well be an issue.

I am using the latest drivers from the ati website. I considered using the ones on the disc but have not tried it.

Yes that is what i mean, the current drivers could be a problem. You might have to wait for future ATI driver updates to get the performance you seek.
