hello guys,
I finnished building my pc, and is tarded up and suddendly on my mohterboard apears a error code CF and al the led lights on my motherboard goes out and 10 seconds later my pc shuts down, and i cant do nothing, i searched the CF code in my manuel en it says that the CF code means OEM BDS initialization codes, i dont know what that means, my motherboard is the asrock 970 extreme 4.
hope you guys can help me

my ram is the Corsair Vengeance 8 GB DIMM DDR3-1600 CL 9 RED, should i buy another ram or not ?

The RAM is fine for that board. Although you may have a faulty stick. Have you tried removing one stick at a time and rebooting the PC in between removals?

i try that thanks for the answers

No problem. let us know the outcome.

hi sorry for bothering you again, but i did put my ram 1 at a time in every slots en rebooting my pc but it stil says that CF code, i dont know anymore.

OK,

1) Check all your connections to the motherboard are secure.
2) Make sure you connected all your case connections to the motherboard correctly.
3) Remove your GPU and try to start your machine.
4) Is your CPU seated correctly (Check for bent CPU socket pins)

...........And post back :)

i did everything what you asked for and still i get the CF code 🙁

yes i checked the cpu, and i got it wednesday the 8th of april i bought it from a store in belgium and that store is specialized in pc parts etc..
so i dont know how old the mobo is i got it 4 days ago.

It's definitely new yes? The reason I ask it that it came out in 2011
If it's used it may have had problems prior to you owning it.
