CF or new gpu?

Hi, i just wondered if i should upgrade to a better grapics card or but another 7870 for crossfire the only issue i have is that my motherboard (Asus m5a97 r2.0) has 2 16x slot but the other one is 4x. If i should upgrade to a better graphics card wich one should i buy?

No any upgrade is not worthwile at all.wait for next gen gpu.crossfire is waste as pci is just 4x.
