CFX 7870 or R9 280x?

Hey guys, looking to upgrade my pc and I can't decide between another 7870 or a new R9 280x.
The R9 280x I have in mind is

And the 7870 I have is

If I were to get another 7870 though, I would have to get a new PSU as well for unfortunately mine does not support SLI/Crossfire.

Didn't know what would be better for a price/performance aspect, looking for some more opinions. Thank you!

I have a Corsair 700W PSU. It's an old PSU, think it's the 1st generation of the GS series. To my surprise it is Haswell Compatible haha.

That PSU can quite easily run CF 7870s, and they will slaughter a single 280x in just about anything.

Cross firing AMD cards has been a bad experience for me atleast. Had to sell the pair of 7970's in a low price as they started to microstutter.

AMD's single powerful card is adviseable. Get the 280X alone.
