Challange question: Please help of RAID array

Hi
I am planing to build an cost effective storage solution, RAID 50 with 6 x ST1000MD003 Seagate SATA drives, which the virtue disk size is about 4TB.

The RAID array was created successfully, but when I try to full initialize, the RAID card crashed and I got a error report when I restart windows:
Fatal firmware error: Line 205 in ../../raid/mfihw.c

Please help to analysis.

System information:
Windows 8.1 Pro
Asus Maximus V Formula
Intel 3770K (none O.C)
LSI MegaRAID 8308ELP

Are you initializing the raid in Windows using the Mega Raid Software or though the Mega Raid it self on bootup? If its happening on one try doing it on the other. If it happens on bother then its a problem with the card. Maybe try updating the firmware (Can take 10-15 minutes) and then try that. I would then go in, delete what ever raid you have since there is nothing on it, and recreate and try initializing again.

You may not even need to initialize it. Its recommened but sometimes it works with out doing it.

Actually I choose "Full initializing" option by Mega Raid management software wizard when I created RAID array...

Did you disable the ASMedia controller?
