Challenge for computer enthusiasts

Hello,

Need a new computer. Budget around $600 give or take $100 depending on the features/speed the extra cash would add.

Who out there can help? Used to build my own, but haven't done so in about 5 years. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Need legit copy of Windows 7 as well. Build myself or buy package deal?

What's needed: A desktop that can run the latest DAWs. In fact two DAWs at once (Ableton LIVE & FL Studio). This is going to be a music making machine. Need digital audio out, dual screen capability, also fast enough to do some basic video capture and creation.

guys just question cuz am not experienced too much in sound or music machine ,

- doesn't he needed a sound card ?
- is he able to do a video capture and editing on a dual monitor without a GPU ?!!

He could, but at this budget whatever he could get wouldn't be that much better than integrated. Though he does still have $60 to play with in regards to sound equipment, so he could get a decent one if he wanted to max the budget.

You can run two monitors of integrated graphics just fine. The video capture will depend on what he means, if its gaming then it will be low quality. But if its just recording the desktop it will be fine.

if you are really going full out for music making, id get a noctua heatsink and a define mini so that your noise output is minimal

also, a 30 dollar asus dg 5.1 should suit your sound needs if onboard is not good enough
