I would like to know the chances of a power supply to die on you, I am a bit worried. After i had ordered my parts for my first build, like an idiot i did not notice the reviews on my power supply on New egg. Quite frequently i saw that many people had a problem of it dieing after a week or so and now i am worried that the same will happen to me. What would be the chances of that happening?

Heres my build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/gunshot22/saved/4msO

Power supply: XFX TS 550W

Thank you,

I wouldn't worry.
Every power supply, and other computer parts always have a certain percentage of people stating they've failed.

It gets frustrating trying to determine if a part is prone to fail, but if you start comparing different Power Supplies you'll see the complaints aren't statistically that significant.

There are BETTER power supplies, but statistically I think you'll be fine for at least five years.
