I have installed a SSD M.2 drive using the M.2 slot on the mother board and cloned the HHD to it. Now I want my computer to boot from the SSD and use the orig HHD for storage. I have installed the latest ver of the BIOS but still not able to change the SSD to drive 0. Now the computer is a Dell XPS 8930.

I would try powering down and disconnecting the HDD and then powering up and going to the BIOS.
Sometimes this can help although I'm not sure why.
If it recognizes it....then set it as the boot drive.....then SAVE the BIOS.....then make sure it boots. If it boots fine I would then power down and add the other drive.

I have done that and it boots from the SSD. When I connect the the HHD again it boots from the HHD.
Now I can bump the F12 key while it is coming up and pick which drive I want to boot to but that only last for the one time then back to the HHD on the next power up.

The BIOS on the 8930 does not have a way to change the drives. At least I have not found a way. I remember all the BIOS that I have worked with it was very easy to change the order of all the drives. But this one is a bit different.
