I have a lenovo Z50 with Windows 8.1 installed on in. I replaced my optical drive with a 250GB SSD. I cloned my OS from C drive to the SSD. Now here's the problem, How do I get windows 8 to boot up from the SSD? I have tried to change the boot up option from BIOS but there's no option where I can change so that the laptop will start from SSD. Can someone please help! Thanks!

Have you tried logging into windows from one of those drives and opened msconfig?
Login to windows
Open msconfig
Open the boot tab
Select the default OS to boot from (it most likely will show the OS on the first drive and the second drive)

It just shows the C drive with original windows, doesn't show the SSD

Are you running windows 8? If so go to search and type refresh, it should give you an option to reinstall OS and keep your files or delete files, whichever option you like most choose it. You will need the nott disk that came with your computer so keep that handy ok. Then when the process starts you select the drive you want to install your OS on when it gets to the partition stage and follow the other normal steps. It shouldn't give you much issues as long as you still have your boot disk and you may need your optical drive as it is likely a DVD.
If you need me to elaborate feel free to private message me.
