Change from DVI to VGA!

Hi, my PC screen recently stopped working after a power outage due to storms, and now does not function at all.

The scren was connected with a DVI cord to the Graphics Card.

Now I am wondering if I can plug the old VGA cord into the motherboard and plug the oher end into a small flatscreen TV I have and still be able to use the PC?

You need to be plugged into your GPU, get a DVI to VGA adapter, you shouldn't have a hard time finding one for under $5 from newegg, amazon, or where ever else. My local store sells them for $10 so if you don't want to wait for shipping, you can check your local store but expect to pay a bit more.

I was hoping not to get an adapter, but if it is the only option to be able to use the PC, i will have to go get one.
