Hi!
As in title. I have i5 4690k, 16 gb ram and gtx 1060 6gb, psu 550w Silentium pc gold, but i thinking about playing in 4k in such titles as modded Skyrim SE, Madmax, Metro Exodus and upcoming Cyberpunk. In addition, I will buy a better graphics card (rtx 2070).
Is it worth it? Or it better to come with better budget for a completely new computer? I am a bit confused, and I would like to play only the above-mentioned titles and
a few other games that I have been collecting for several years.

Your older games such as Skyrim & Mad Max (well optimized) would probably run fine in 4K with the 4690K however for new titles the 4 cores (even at 1080P) will struggle. The 4790K could be a decent upgrade if you can find one for cheap but if not your better off going with 8th/9th gen Intel or AMD Ryzen.

As for the GPU the 2070 may be able to handle the older games at 4K but newer ones would require the 1080 ti/2080 or 2080 ti for higher settings/60 FPS.

How much is the i7 going to cost you?
the extra 4 threads is nice - and are needed.
But cost is the factor, as you may find getting a more modern system would benefit you.
For i7 I would have to pay almost 280 USD along with the transport fee, but referring to what WildCard999 said it seems to be a little unprofitable investment.
