I had to reinstall windows 7 on a Dell XPS One. I thought all went well until I saw that it installed to a G drive. Now when I try to install software I get an error message that I don't have enough space.

Is it possible for me to just change the G to C?

I am hopeful there is an easy solution and that someone will be kind enough to walk me through it or point me in a direction.

To change a drive letter,

Hit "Start + R" to open the run prompt.
Type "diskmgmt.msc" and hit Enter.
In the list of volumes at the top of the Disk Management window, right click on the one you want to change and select "Change drive letter and paths..."
Click "Change..." and pick a new letter.

I'm not 100% sure Windows will let you change your OS drive, but that's how I'd change letters in general.

ok i will try to simplify for you ,
when you first turn on your computer , keep hitting f2 and instead of booting into windows you will get into the bios which is the computers operating system so to speak
in the bios look for a tab called boot or boot priorities , there you will find your two drives and cd/dvd drive
they will be set in an order of priority to boot up , you can change which drive you want to boot as number 1 or boot priority one to your other hard drive so it will boot first ,
