Change graphic card

I want to change my graphic card but I don't know which card I should choose. I see on the side it say mini_pcie1. So can I use the pciex16 graphic card on that.

I mean which slot type is that. Is that PCI or PCIe and can I put a PCIe x16 inti that slot or I need to buy the adapter ? And I don't know anything about computer so please use easy word.
