change IP from laptop

hi, i cannot change my ip from my laptop. it said i'm using a router which is public. after that i went outside and used different internet modem. but it remains same. if i give new window and give new modem it will be change or not? what should i do now?

The public IP is assigned by your ISP. They typically don't change often. Try unplugging the modem from the power supply while you are away in the daytime and at night. The ISP may assign you a new public number when you reconnect.
