Hi everyone.

I'm upgrading my Hardware ie the motherboard, ram, CPU and of course the PSU.

I did read in the windows 8 disclaimer that your allowed one PC something software key.
So i believe that I'm able to register the new hardware to that key.

I'm keeping the hard drive, the CD drive and GPU. Just changing the above mentioned.
Could someone please explain to me if it is possible to keep windows 8 without paying for it again, or how to reinstall it ect.

Any help will be appreciated and in advanced thanks for your time.

You just have to reactivate. Unless you have an OEM version of windows, then your technically tied to your old motherboard. But, you might be able to call them up and get them to reactivate it if it doesn't work automatically.

unsure exactly of OEM versions. It's the one I downloaded straight off their site, I think it's windows 8 pro or something. I still have the key
