Change Processor from core i3-4170 to core i5 4430

Hi, I would like to ask if its alright to change the processor from i3-4170 to core i5 4430?
Ill build a new pc and thinking of giving the i5 to my brother which has the i3.

As long as the I5-4430 is on the CPU Support List for your brother's motherboard (should be), it won't be a problem.
