if this power supply is still within warranty do not open it up or physically alter anything.
this will void any warranty and any equipment protection guarantee that they offer.

if this fan has malfunctioned and/or has been making undesirable noise contact Seasonic for a replacement.

I don't have any proof of purchase. I bought this PSU before 3 years from second hand.
