Change RAM sockets in bios?

So, updating the components of my computer buy a GIGABYTE Z170X-GAMING 3 and 2x8 Corsair Vengeance Led 3200mhz ddr4 ram. And when I turned the computer on, I turned it on, but it did not show a signal on the monitor, and after a few seconds it goes out and then goes on by itself. Testing several things in the search you find a solution to my problem I removed 1 ram stick, and the computer turned on as if nothing. Testing the ram on the other socket came to the conclusion that the ram socket did not work. And if I try to do dual channel with the other two sockets the computer does not turn on. So my question is the following.
Is there a way to "change" the sockets virtually through the bios or some other way so that I can use the other 8gb and the computer to turn on?

Pd: I can not make a complaint of the mother to the store because a friend bought it in another country

Solution
Try reinstalling that stick one more time and see if it recognizes it. If not I'd say we can call that slot dead. One last thing to look at is to see if bios recognizes 8 or 16 gb

Thanks for answering.
Yes, I have tried both sticks on the socket that works and worked both times. So I can assure you that it is a problem of the mother

And when both sticks are connected the computer refuses to turn on. The coolers and lights are on but the monitor does not show any signal and at 5 seconds the pc reboots

If i have both ram sticks in, the pc keeps rebooting over and over without showing an signal, just the lights and the coolers

I did the "voltage .05v" thing, and now my pc started correctly with both ram sticks in dual channel, but when going to pc properties it says i have only 8gb, not 16gb

I did not recognize it, so I'll settle for using them without dual channel
Thanks for your help though!
