Hi There,

Thank you for your help, but it still does not want it to do what i want

My C drive at the moment is c:/user/user

I want to change it to c:/user/John C Butterworth

Will have to save my documents from C:/user/user/.... and them transfer them to C:/user/John C butterworth

Wait so your account name is already John C Butterworth? Was it something different when you created the user account originally?

If it was different, then yeah the old user folder name will still be in effect. Easiest thing to do is rename the current admin account to something different again. Then create a brand new admin account called John C Butterworth and then transfer all your stuff across.
