My PC is a homebuilt 3570K, 8GB RAM, GSX 660, 500W PSU and P8Z77-V LX motherboard.with Win 10

My PC had been running fine for a couple of years but a few days ago the CPU temp started to climb dramatically until the PC shut down. My CPU isn't overclocked and was using the standard cooler that came with the CPU. I found the cooler pretty good. It looked like the thermal paste had gone but I fancied a change and bought a Corsair H55 cooler.

It was a royal PITA to install. Now my PC doesn't POST or show any signs of life when I turn it on. Any ideas on how to try and fix things? I tried removing the GPU, also the RAM - no difference.

Many thanks

Ended up taking the hole thing apart and rebuilding piece by piece but testing after putting in each new piece in. I'll admit I was overjoyed when it first kicked into life as I thought I'd cracked the motherboard install the cooler. I figure the problem was a lose power connector going to the motherboard. Cooler seems to work fine with CPU temp just a little bit over room temp. Downsides are that it's a fair bit noisier than the supplied Intel cooler.
