I’m a bit baffled with this one, I just removed my CPU to replace the pre-applied paste with some Arctic MX-6 and the mobo (tug gaming b650 plus) is now displaying a red LED indicating a CPU problem.

I took the AIO pump off, checked all the pins, checked that the paste was evenly spread, re-applied the paste, secured the pump in place and plugged it in. The PC starts up fine, all fans are spinning but no display.

Make sure your cooler is mounted appropriately (with enough force). Make sure you plugged the headers back into the right spots.

It's surely not paste but you made some errors or damaged something.
