Changed GPU slot, now no POST or Video Output

I have the AsRock 970M Pro3 motherboard, and AMD FX 6200 CPU. My GPU is GTX 1050Ti by EVGA Single Fan. I had the GPU on the bottom slot, and it worked, but I saw in my motherboard manual that that's the 4x slot, and the top one is PCIe 16x, and is better. I moved the GPU there, and I get no post. Monitor stays black, and no beep sound when spamming del on boot to get into bios, in case there's just no video.

Moving it back to the previous slot fixes the issue. How can I make it work in the top slot? Is this a defective part of the motherboard?

Try clearing the CMOS

Fixed by putting in my GT 740 and then putting back in the 1050ti
