My old asus p8p67 deluxe just broke recently, replaced it with a asus maximus iv extreme. Nothing else was changed/upgraded.

My question is..
SHould i perform a clean windows 7 installation? So far my com has been running smoothly for 2 weeks, the only thing not working initially was the bluetooth adaptor, a driver installation fixed it.

Your call, I would - motherboard is one of the most important components in a build and I am honestly surprised Windows 7 didn't complain about needing to be reactivated since OEM licensing is usually linked to the board.

These are fairly similar motherboards (from a OS install perspective). While a clean install is usually the best long-term solution to a motherboard swap, in your case I think you'll be fine as is. No need to worry. You always have the option to re-install your OS later.

windows 7 license was lost on first boot but it quickly reactivated itself online. no problems since then. think i will do the reinstall when i have the time.

Any chance a fresh OS install with cause me to void my w7 license? im using w7 hp oem version
