changed motherboard and cpu do i have to reinstall windows?

For the most part the thread title says it all. I just re-installed my 3570k and asrock z77 extreme 4 after trying out an AMD build. I installed Windows 8.1 on the AMD build and after putting back my intel and old mobo windows still loads up. Is it necessary to reinstall windows or did everything migrate over ok?

Run it how you usually do for a few days. If nothing goes wrong, then it looks good.

Make sure you do install the drivers you can download from the motherboard maker's web site for that motherboard.

Will do I was under the impression windows 8 does that automatically. My sound and everything is working so far no issues.

It might. I always do a fresh install when I switch motherboards, but if it works, how can you knock that?
