Changed motherboard, no display.

Hey , i tried plugging in a fan through an adapter and ended up frying my mobo and potentially my PSU too which i returned and waiting for a replacement. (MSI A78M-E35)

I got a new replacement mobo (Gigabyte F2A68HM-S1) i replugged everything in a decided to you use a previous psu Corsair CX600(which should be good)

I go to boot up the system and all the fans spin up, no beeps but NO DISPLAY.
Also i plugged keyboard and mouse in and they dont light up.

Just tried plugging in a monitor straight to motherboard through vga and no luck.

Any advice on what to do?

Hello, I have 1 ram stick 8GB Crucial Ballistic and i tried both slots and it still didnt work.

What cpu? Best to list full PC Spec.

It is possible your new motherboard needs a BIOS update to run your cpu.

It’s not that, your cpu was supported from the 1st BIOS version.

Check the cpu pins encase Amy are bent. Also try the RAM in the other slot. It’s possible the cpu or RAM also got fried.

I tried ram in different slots, but I will double check the cpu now.

Checked cpu and NO bent pins.

My last thought then is either the new motherboard is broken or the cpu or RAM got damaged when the psu died.

I only have 1 ram stick, i wil try and somehow get another one.

I tried taking motherboard out of the case and onto the box.
I then plugged in cpu ,gpu and ram. Without anything else.
And still no post.

other then replacing the motherboard again i think you have no choice but to find some way to test your CPU and ram stick. i agree with the majority here that one of those was damaged too
