Changed WiFi name, no connection

Hi recently my housemate changed the name of our wi-fi network and now my laptop (acer E5-521) cannot find our Wi-Fi network I.e. it’s not coming up under available networks. I’ve tried rebooting the router several times, rebooted my laptop,windows troubleshooter, uninstalled and reinstalled the driver software, all to no avail. It connects to via the Ethernet cable and all other devices (phone, iPad)in the house can connect to the WiFi . Please help

Besides the WiFi SSID, what else might he have changed?
If necessary, connect to the router via ethernet, and look at all the settings.

Discover the new SSID
Discover what the actual WiFi password is
Discover what freqs the router is using. 2.4GHz and/or 5GHz.
