Changing componets of a prebuilt pc

I have a HP Pavilion 570-p035t and I want to change its Power supply, will it break anything if I do?

No, it shouldn't break anything at all. What PSU are you going to be adding, and for what reason?

I'm gonna install a EVGA 550W PSU so I can install a Nvidia GT 1030, the reason for a 550W is because its cheap off of Amazon.

Some HP motherboards use a propriety power connector so a standard power supply won't work but it appears that MB uses the standard 24pin + 4 power setup.
