Question Changing cpu ram slot1 not using

MOBO: Asus A68HM-K

CPU: AMD x4 760k

GPU: gt530

RAM: 4GB DDR (x2) , 8gb total

my new cpu x4 760k is not using ram slot 1 , when i try to put again the old cpu which is a6-7400k ram slot 1 is working , i try re seating the ram, and software setting still not work,
what is the possible cause of this? is cpu is broken ?

there are no bent pins pc boot ups but using only ram slot 2 and not ram slot 1

yes i tried , i think the cpu is faulty, when i try to use different cpu ram slot 1 works

Cpu is bad. The memory controller or its contact with the pins is bunk. Most often happens when users install a cpu cooler wrong and tighten the upper right corner screw before seating all 4x screws and then force the cpu cooler down to get the lower left screw started.

how to fix that issue? i reseat the cpu and the cooler still doesnt read the ram try changing old cpu ram slot working
