So as the title explains, I will change my CPU Intel core i3 2100 1155 socket to a new Core i5 3550s 1155 socket. So my question is will it change anything on my PC? Meaning, should I backup something before proceeding further?
Also I will upgrade my graphics card from the GTX 950 Asus 2GB to the new GTX 1060 Gigabyte 6GB. Will it bottleneck ?

Solution
All of your data is stored on your hard drive, so you won't lose anything. Just make sure to unplug your power cord, after turning off your computer. Don't forget to apply thermal paste to the new CPU.
The i5 3550S probably won't bottleneck your system. It's a pretty good CPU, but definitely not high-end.

Solution
Yes you are right, but I think the CPU does come with a pre applied thermal paste. Its not high end but its a really good CPU with 3.7 Ghz boost speed, and from what I saw, with my build my PC can get 85-95% performance on recommended settings on most recent games.
