Changing data file pointers?

I recently had to reinstall Windows XP. My old third party files were left
in tact. Now when I'm using Internet Explorer or Outlook, they are looking
for data in my new user directory ('documents and setting.my name.computer
name'). All my old files are located in 'documents and setting.my name' (the
computer name is not used). Where can I make a change so that these programs
look for data in another directory, so that I can have it look in my old
files?

Right click on My Documents. Go to properties/Move. Do what you have to do
