Have a 2000 server that is the PDC of it's own domain. It
is also the only server on this domain. It also has AD
running.
I need to eliminate this domain and bring this server into
a different domain as a member server.
What is the process for this?
I've heard of a utility called dcpromo. Would I use this?
How?

Yes, you would use dcpromo to change from a DC to a member server. This is
the same utilitity that would have been run on the server to make it a
domain controller.

As for a procedure, just make sure you have no users or resources using your
old domain and you can safely run the program. Then, just join the server
to the new domain.

Hope this helps
