[SOLVED] Changing file type / application associations

How do you change the default application to open a certain file type?

I just installed Photoshop, which is lovely, but I don't want that launching every time I want to take a peek at a jpg, I want to use Preview.

I know I can always use Open With but I want to change the default.

This is easy enough in Windows.

Right-Click on file type--> Open With --> Choose and tick open as default app.

I'm using Tiger 10.4.11 and that tick box isn't there.

The problem is solved though, just using the open with seems to have reset the association and they are opening with Preview again.
