I'm changing from Intel to AMD and want to know what parts I'm going to need to replace, these are my parts.
RTX 4080
Corsair DDR5
NZXT AIO
SHPP41-2000GM 2TB

Parts I'm changing to:
R9 7950X3D
MSI PRO X670-P WiFi ProSeries Motherboard

Will I need to change anything else other than the motherboard and cpu?

Even though your existing DDR5 RAM might not be on the QVL for the MSI AM5 mobo, the computer will probably POST and you'll be able to get into the BIOS.

Resist the temptation to invoke XMP and don't overclock your RAM until you've got Windows installed.

You'll need a decent cooler for the CPU. I'm running my 7950X with a Noctua NH-D15 but you might prefer a 360mm AIO for extra cooling.

The 7950X won't get quite as hot as an i9-13900K on your existing cooler, whatever it is. If your existing cooler cannot handle roughly 200W, consider upgrading.

I'd recommend a decent 850 or 1000W PSU for that CPU/GPU combination. See what other people say.

Disregard, not sure if edited after the fact or I am blind

yeah 4080 with a 7950x3d i would go a 1000w psu to be safe ..
360mm rad min in my opinion the d15 is great but if your doing production work then you want the better cooling ..
If gaming only dont even bother with the 7950x3d and go a 7800x3d ..

cl30 6000 is the sweet spot for AMD ram at the moment !!and is it expo stuff ?
